Mackays Ltd. in Scotland produce a large range of quality preserves, marmalades and curds. Each time their production line expands, they turn to Graham Labelling to provide additional labelling systems. The latest installation is the 4th since 1996. The high quality system includes product aligner, top hold and after wrap. One of the heads has a hot foil coder for date marking. The label material is either paper or acetate.

As with all Graham Labelling bespoke systems, a thorough programme of testing was undertaken. All products and labels went through a rigorous Pdi, which meant that when the Commander was installed in the factory and was started, it ran into full production from day one.

The Graham Commander 128-25 is ideal for a smaller operation as it is extremely flexible and takes up very little room. Indeed, it can literally fit into a corner. Very useful when space is at a premium. The Commander series is a compact range of label applicators that are complete with a food quality, flat belt conveyor. Available as a single or twin head machine, they may be fitted with an optional thermal overprinter or hot foil coder. The Commander is simple to operate and is available in three label widths and two web speeds. It is easily installed within an existing line or moved around the production floor. Products are labelled using either a fixed or swinging beak.
