RIVIÈRA FOOD PRODUCTS BV of An Drachten, Holland, specialise in importing classic Mediterranean foods. Pesto, Olives, Olive Oil and associated products are sourced from countries such as Italy, Greece and Turkey. The foods are then processed and packaged in metal capped glass containers.

Seeking 'high impact' to launch the range onto the Continental European market, Rivièra decided on colourful full body decorative sleeving. Grahams was approached, as it is known to be a successful innovator at the high quality end of sleeving applicator manufacturers.

The installed sleeving system consists of an RF200 automatic sleeve applicator with a cross and vertical perforation system and a Graham steam tunnel. Currently, two glass jars (85mm H x 57mm Dia. And 135mm H x 60mm Dia.) and a tapered glass bottle (230mm H x 67mm max Dia.) are filled, capped and sleeved. The sleeves cover the caps to make them tamper evident. To facilitate opening, the sleeve is perforated just below the cap, which allows a tear strip to be removed whilst leaving the decoration on the bottle in place.
