This tunnel was primarily designed to handle empty thin walled round plastic containers that could loose their shape in the concentrated heat of an enclosed tunnel.
To spread heat evenly over the surface of the container it is rotated by a horizontal belt against a series of hot air guns mounted only along one side of the tunnel and the open mesh guards ensure that the heat it is not concentrated around the container.
The guns can be positioned so that the heat is directed towards the area of the container needed to obtain the required shrink finish.
Different lengths of tunnel and powers of heat gun are available to cover various container sizes and speeds.
With its modular design the tunnel can be supplied as an individual unit or together with other styles of tunnel to achieve an adequate time/temperature gradient for the desired shrinking result.
Available as part of a full sleeving system with integral conveyor the Graham range of heat tunnels are also available as individual units to operate over a customer’s suitable existing conveyor.
To support our range of shrink sleeving and tamper banding machines we offer a range of sizes and types of tunnels that also include electric radiant tube and steam.
To fully evaluate product shrinking requirements a supply of the containers and shrinkable material to be used is essential. We offer a pre-delivery test on your products so you can see the results we can obtain.
